FABIAN PEREZ AND MY MANY NIGHT OUTS
I've been obsessed with Fabian Perez and his depiction of night life for some time now. I made a three part series baed on his work, displayed here. The black background set against bright primary colours of the subject shows is intended to capture the contrast between the energy we feel on a night out versus what we (usually) remember the next day.
Girls talking. The passive and the active. The best part of a night out maybe, the art of catching up. The art of being present and letting it all out without over-exposing yourself.
Which do you do first? The ritual of getting dressed, or the drinks before the drinks.
We don't remember so many of the faces we see.
